An affiliate of The Lyme Timber Company partnered with four land trusts and the Town of Westhampton to secure the permanent protection of 806 acres of forest within walking distance of the Westhampton town center. These lands expand upon a large existing block of protected forest, which has now grown to 3,000 contiguous acres. The lands conserve important wildlife habitat and protect streams that provide drinking water to the City of Holyoke.
